Susan is first and foremost a Registered Nurse.

As the owner and CEO, Susan sets the tone for the company. She has extensive and comprehensive experience in home care. She was the Administrator of a Certified Home Health Agency in New York for 13 years prior to opening Summit.

Susan’s background in public health, her clinical experience and her commitment to improving the quality of life of her patients are the principles that form the foundation of Summit.

Susan is a graduate of State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well as a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Community Health.

Susan keeps her finger on the pulse of the healthcare industry and is respected in the home care community.

Stephen Engel - Vice President

Stephen has acquired expertise in strategic planning and forecasting, financial management and the effective use of technology.

Stephen built his first computer as a young boy and continued to follow a path to a career in technology, real estate finance and healthcare. His passion for creating workflows and operational efficiencies are his guiding principles.

Stephen is first and foremost a family man and truly understands the need to provide quality care. As the Vice President of Finance , Stephen effectively balances excellent service delivery with the financial solvency of the Agency.

Hindy Dreifus - Vice President

For Hindy family values are her passion.

She is relentless in her demand for quality clinical care. As the Vice President of Patient Services, Hindy oversees a large staff of professionals and paraprofessionals, and she expects excellence from each individual she hires. For Hindy, compromising safety and patient care is never an option.

Hindy has a Master of Science degree in Nursing and Leadership. Her expertise in technology has helped her elevate the level and efficiency of the clinical operations of the Agency.

Melissa has always enjoyed working with the elderly in her community. She is energetic, upbeat and never misses an opportunity to offer a patient a relaxing spa treatment, including a trendy haircut and style.

Melissa’s experience in running a fast-paced organization and her strength in operations and compliance are what enable her to run the New Jersey office so effectively. Melissa’s solid interpersonal skills, her open communication style and her effective use of technology have been the catalyst for growth, employee and patient satisfaction and successful outcomes.

When Melissa is not working, she is spending time with her family. She loves the outdoors.

Debbie Steinberg, RN

Director, Quality Management and Branch Operations

Debbie has worked in home care management for over 20 years and is dedicated to providing quality care to clients and their families.

Debbie provides skill and expertise in managing the Valley Stream office. Her extensive experience in Quality Management has set the clinical caliber high for the entire agency. Previously, Debbie worked in Pediatrics, and Pediatric and Neonatal ICU.

She lives in New York and enjoys concerts, sports (as a spectator only) and being with her family. If she had time for a hobby it would probably be indoor gardening or bird watching.

Arthur is the consummate professional with over 30 years of management experience. He utilizes his talent and expertise to manage and guide the Human Resources of Summit.

Arthur is fastidious in his approach to compliance and ensures he is always informed of changes in the industry.

Arthur comes to Summit with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Brandeis University and a Master's in Business Administration from Baruch College.

He and his wife Carol enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Michelle is a spiritual giant, whose mission in life is to improve herself and to make the world a better place. Whether it is instilling values in her children or her congregants, or giving her aides the tools to succeed, Michelle is selfless in her devotion, dedication, and loyalty.

In her role as Director of Patient Care Coordination, Michelle makes it her business to get to know every patient and every aide to ensure the best fit for every case.

Michelle is happiest when she is successful in giving patients peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are taken care of by qualified caregivers.
